Submit the following in one document, no more than 1,000 words (.doc or .rtf):
In this, you have an opportunity to be the judge and write a legal written opinion deciding the “case” in your assigned agricultural legal conflict. You have been reading judicial opinions all quarter in the form of cases that we briefed for homework and discussed in class. You have seen many different writing styles, but they all include the basic elements of a brief that you have already identified in Step 2 (I attached it to this order with my teacher feedback) of this assignment.
In this final step of the assignment, you will take the basic components of the brief you created in Step 2 and turn them into one piece of writing. Full paragraphs and proper writing style are required. Use some of your favorite opinions from this class as a model: opinions that you have read that are clear, logical, concise, but fully convey the necessary steps to resolving the legal conflict.
Note that you are applying a hypothetical resolution to an evolving legal conflict. You should not look for an existing legal resolution of this particular conflict and are not expected to do legal research. You should apply the legal tools that we have learned in this class and incorporate them into your discussion as if they are “precedent” for this case, if possible.
Your opinion should be no more than 1000 words, submitted as one document (.doc or .rtf). You do not need to resubmit your Step 2 document. Any revisions you make to your brief should simply be incorporated into your final judicial opinion here as Step 3.
See the evaluation rubric in the attachment in this order. Compare your work to the standards and revise as necessary. Remember no sources!!!!!
